Thickness dependence of transport properties of Bi.sub.2./sub.Te.sub.3./sub. layers
Zeipl, Radek ; Lošťák, P. ; Pavelka, Martin ; Žďánský, Karel ; Jelínek, Miroslav ; Walachová, Jarmila
The transport properties of layers, prepared by laser ablation, as Hall mobility and conductivity on their thickness at room temperature are presented. This thermoelectric materials is potential candidate for many applications as for thermoelectric devices for power generation, cooling and sensors.

Properties of interfaces at nanometric scale
Lejček, Pavel ; Paidar, Václav
First let us focus on the TiAl ordered intermetallic alloys that represent due to very favourable strength-to-ratio, and thus light weight required by transport vehicles, an advanced material for the aerospace and automotive applications. The second example is closer to classical materials. The properties of polycrystals can be, at least in principle, improved by grain boundary engineering.
self-assembled quantum dots: electronic spectral densities
Král, Karel ; Zdeněk, Petr ; Khás, Zdeněk
Optical and transport properties of quantum dots are reported.
InAs/GaAs quantum-size structures grown by MOVPE
Hospodková, Alice ; Hulicius, Eduard ; Oswald, Jiří ; Pangrác, Jiří ; Šimeček, Tomislav
Structures with quantum size objects as self-organised quantum dots, quantum rings, wires and quasi-quantum wells could be reproducibly grown by MOVPE. The advantage of MOVPE technology is its material variability, operating costs and relation to the industry.
Intense XUV radiation as a new tool for material nanostructuring
Juha, Libor ; Rus, Bedřich ; Krása, Josef ; Krzywinski, J. ; Vacík, Jiří
It is reviewed on creation of non-periodical as well as periodical structures with a period shorter than 100nm by XUV radiation.
From lower fullerenes to carbon nanotubes (via higher fullerenes): investigating their behaviour under irradiation
Cejnarová, Andrea ; Juha, Libor ; Hamplová, Věra ; Kubát, Pavel
It is summarized how a chemical constitution of partical fullerene cage influences its physical (including photophysical) and chemical (including photochemical) properties.
